| I already own a domain, and I want to use it on World Eye Web |
If you already own your domain name (meaning you registered it with a different company, like Network Solutions, or GoDaddy.com) there are two ways to use it for your website on World Eye Web. Option 1: Leave your domain registration with your current registrar and build a website on World Eye Web
You may keep your domain with your current registrar, and have World Eye Web host your site. We will assign your domain to your account, and you can go ahead and work with the Interface to build your website. When you are done, proceed with your purchase, and we will set the website up on our server for you. You will then need to log in to your domain registrar (the place where you originally registered your domain) and change the DNS settings for your domain name.
Set your DNS as follows:
NS1.WORLDEYEWEB.COM
NS2.WORLDEYEWEB.COM Option 2: Move your domain registration to World Eye Web
You may consolidate your domain management here at World Eye Web. To do this, you will need to transfer your domain from the current registrar to WEW. Read more about the transfer process, and find out how to get your authorization code below. |
Domain Transfers - what happens now? This
is the procedure for transferring an existing domain to World Eye Web. You have
an alternate option to keep your current registrar (the place where you
originally registered your domain) if you choose.
|
Customer Purchases Domain Transfer |
|
This happens on the WEW site. You will need to purchase your
transfer as part of your web package, or as a stand-alone service. |
|
|
Customer Unlocks Domain |
|
You need to unlock your domain and get an authorization code from
your current Registrar. The Registrar is the place where you
originally registered your domain. They hold your domain in a
protected account, and will not allow it to be released by anyone
who does not have proper authorization (authorization code). For
more information on getting your authorization code from your
Registrar, click here. |
|
|
Customer initiates transfer at WEW |
|
Once you have your authorization code, you will need to sign in to
your World Eye Web account, select the domain from your account, and
choose "finalize transfer." |
|
|
WEW sends notification to previous Registrar |
|
We will then send notification to your previous Registrar, with your
code to transfer the domain. |
|
|
Previous Registrar verifies release |
|
When your previous Registrar receives a properly authorized
notification from us, they will most likely send a confirming email
to you, as a double-check. This is for your own security. You will
need to respond to this email within the amount of time required to
finalized the release. |
|
|
Previous Registrar releases the domain to WEW |
|
You will receive an email from us when your domain has been
successfully released. We apply the appropriate changes to your
domain name. |
|
|
Transfer Complete |
|
You now have control over your domain via your World Eye Web
account. |

How to Get Your Authorization Code.
To transfer your domain to the World Eye Web, you will first need to
get an authorization code from your current registrar (the place where you
originally registered your domain).
Important: World Eye Web does NOT have this
information. Your authorization code is a security measure that prevents anyone
else making changes to your domain without your permission.
If you do know who your registrar is, find their name in the list below for
detailed information on how to get your authorization code.
When you receive your authorization code, then you need to go to our
account control panel, to finalize your request.
